We don't invent ratings. Every company is researched from primary sources, and any rating we show is a public third-party review — named, linked, and dated — so you never have to take our word for it.

    Our team gathers rates, terms, licensing, and complaint history from primary sources — so you don’t have to chase them down yourself.

  2. Cite

    We show our sources

    Ratings come only from public third-party review sites like Google, Trustpilot, and the BBB — each one named, linked, and dated. We never calculate a score of our own.

  3. Compare

    We keep the order neutral

    Lists are alphabetical unless a page says otherwise. When a company pays us, we say so, and paid placements are labeled.

Where our review info comes from

  • We don't rate or score companies. There is no ConsumerAdviser score, star rating, or ranking formula.
  • Ratings shown are public reviews. When we show a rating, it is the company's rating on the named third-party site (for example Google, Trustpilot, or the Better Business Bureau), with the number of reviews and the date we checked. Each one links to the source so you can see it for yourself.
  • We never combine sources.Each site's rating is shown separately, exactly as that site displayed it. Ratings change over time, so the current figure on the source may differ.
  • Facts come from public records. Product details, fees, eligibility, and licensing come from each company's own published materials and public records, and show the date we last verified them.
  • How lists are ordered. Each list says how it is ordered — alphabetically unless noted otherwise.

If a company has no public review data on file, we leave that space empty rather than estimate. Always confirm current details with the provider before you decide.
